Peace Circle®: Structure and Symbols

Peace Circle® parks combine symbolism with thoughtful design. Discover how each element—the Peace Tree, the Circle of Guardians, the ABC For Peace, and the Meadow of Life—inspires action for the environment and peace.

Circular Economy in Sustainable Design
Peace Circle® integrates circular economy principles to ensure sustainability: the Meadow of Life fosters biodiversity, pathways use recycled materials, and benches are designed for reuse. These practical elements ensure the park aligns with nature and promotes regeneration.
The Peace Circle® Structure
1.The Peace Tree
The heart of the park, symbolizing unity, resilience, and the core values of peace. All other elements are built around this central tree.
2.ABC For Peace
Three lines connect the Peace Tree to the Circle of Guardians, each representing essential values:
❤️Heart A): Hope, love, and justice.
💡Head (B): Knowledge, science, and wisdom.
🙌Hands (C): Actions, life, balance, and diversity.
These lines connect the Peace Tree to the Circle of Guardians and guide us toward the values of peace and sustainability.
3.Circle Of Guardians
A ring of trees encircling the Peace Tree, dedicated to global, national, regional, and local peace makers and environmentalists as role models. One tree is always dedicated to an Everyday Hero. Circle of Guardians reflects the park’s core values: sustainability and peace, built through the care of both nature and people.
4.Meadow Of Life: A Symbol of Circular Economy and Biodiversity
The Meadow of Life isn’t just a visual feature within the Peace Circle®—it symbolizes the harmony between nature, sustainability, and community.
Key Features:
-
🌸 Biodiversity Support: Native wildflowers and grasses foster a thriving habitat for pollinators like bees and butterflies, essential for maintaining ecological balance.
-
♻️ Circular Economy in Practice: Mowed plant material is composted and reused throughout the park—enriching soil, supporting tree growth, and preventing waste.
-
🛠️ Sustainable Design: Park structures, including benches and signage, are crafted from recycled materials, embodying Peace Circle®’s commitment to resource efficiency.
-
👥 Community Involvement: Local schools and residents actively participate in maintaining the meadow, learning hands-on about sustainability and fostering a sense of environmental stewardship.
Path
A 1-meter-wide path surrounds the park, with a nearby meadow inviting visitors to enjoy the richness of nature's biodiversity.
Compact Design
Parks are 25 meters in diameter, making them adaptable to urban and rural settings. With the path and meadow, the diameter is about 28meters, so space needed is about 616m2.
